Do you have Mom's or Grandma's old silver sitting around? Tarnished and black? You aren't showing much respect for the silver or the people who worked so hard for it, are you?
Don't you have to buy cream, gloves, lay out newspapers and rub all day?
NO! This is HOW Nana Does It!
Step one: tear off a piece of aluminum foil the size of the bottom of your kitchen sink.
place it in the sink shiny side up
Step two: place silver on foil. Must be touching! Cover the foil with pieces of silver.
Step three: cover in hot water
Step four: pour in about a 1/2 cup of washing soda (I use Arm & Hammer brand in the yellow box)
Step five: wait 10 minutes and Voila! Your silver is clean and shiny
Dry the silver before putting it away.
Throw the foil away. You must use a new piece each time.
And while we are on the subject, how come this silver is in a cabinet or box somewhere?
USE your silver. I use my silver silverware everyday. Why have it if you don't use it?
How do you: Remodel a house? Live frugally? Keep a stocked pantry? Be a Super Coupon Queen? Grow a garden? Plan a wedding? Throw a birthday party? Buy at garage sales? Organize a high school reunion? Find your ancestors in genealogy? Make a family tree? Keep your husband happy? Raise children? Flip houses for money? Make a budget? Travel on pennies? Feed a family without breaking the bank? Run a farm? Make Christmas presents? Do crafts? THIS IS HOW NANA DOES IT.
